Letter of Thanksgiving
Give thanks in all circumstances;
for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
1 Thessalonians 5:18
Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
As we gather for Thanksgiving with family and friends, and prepare for Advent and Christmas, I wanted to be intentional to pause, reflect, and give thanks for each of you. Words cannot express what your encouragement, prayers, and support mean, and have meant, throughout these last 15 years of ministry work.
The deeper we go in this ministry, I become increasingly aware of people’s God-given need and longing for connection and belonging, to know God more deeply and to be fully known. Through the training I’m receiving in Spiritual Direction, I’m discovering and practicing more ways to help people process and share their stories, leading to renewal, restoration, and healing of hearts and minds, and the freedom to know and share their hope in Christ.
Now more than ever, offering people safe spaces and places to be still with God, to reflect, discover, and rediscover all the Lord has done and is doing in their lives, is such a gift.
Whether through offering spiritual direction, Heart Discovery sessions, leading others through the Steps of Courage journey, or hosting, serving, and equipping other ministries in our Story Ministry Studio to steward stories and share hope, it all takes intentionality and time. Time to be present and available, to walk with others, to listen, to ask questions, to guide, to pray.
It is slow and beautiful work, and your past, present, and future encouragement, prayers, and support all help make it possible for us to continue and go ever deeper.
Thank you for being intentional to walk with us on this journey.
May God help each of us to have a heart overflowing with gratitude and thanksgiving!
Peace and Love,
